What’s a typical day like for you?

I get up every morning well before dawn, and go to the gym where I brainstorm out my day for the clients that I have on my schedule. I follow it up with getting my boys ready for school, so I can be there when they start their day. I am usually in the office by 7:30 am with plenty of caffeine in hand! Pending my client’s schedules, you can find me at the office or on site with a client into the late hours of the evening. I am a creature of habit so I don’t stray from my daily routine too much.

What do you enjoy most about the financial services industry?

I love that everyone’s situation is different and that I get to put creative strategies together that best fit my clients financial and personal needs.

What quality of yours makes you best suited to do what you do?

I listen to what keeps people up at night in regards to their financial or family needs. I treat it as a call of action if it were my own.

What inspires or motivates you in life?

I am afraid of failure and letting others down.

What do you want your legacy to be? How do you want to be remembered?

I want to be remembered as someone that did everything in my power to help families build their own financial dreams, no matter how big or small, but that helped make them feel secure in their strategy.

What are you most passionate about professionally?

Helping others succeed at things that they don’t think they can succeed at and helping people protect their loved ones from unknown emergencies.

Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What do you want to be when you grow up?

A Farmer. My mom was 1 of 11 and grew up on a farm. I spent many days of my childhood driving tractors and milking cows. It is still a hobby that I like to do with my boys when we have time to get up north to the family farm.

What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working?

Spending time with my wife Annie and watching/coaching my boy’s Jaxon and Brady’s sports.

Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about?

I have a great sense of direction! If I have been somewhere once, I can get myself back.

What do you enjoy most about the financial services industry?

I truly enjoy helping individuals and families be in control of how they manage the money that they’ve worked so hard to earn.  Developing a personal game plan based upon their own unique goals, allows them to make informed, timely, and adaptive decisions.  Then, when life throws them a “curve ball”, they can continue to sleep at night, knowing that we are navigating the journey proactively and have a strong support team.

What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job?

I enjoy helping put others at ease and have a love for problem solving. I am committed to helping others feel comfortable and confident, regardless of where they may be in their financial journey.  I have seen too many avoid reaching out for help because they don’t know how to ask, or where to begin. Or, they are embarrassed because they “should have done so many things sooner.” We are not in the business of judging.  We are in the business of helping.

What are you most passionate about professionally?

I’m passionate about empowering others through education, tools and support to accomplish goals beyond their expectations.

Who are your greatest influences or role models?

I admire anyone who has overcome life’s obstacles and still maintained a positive energy.

What inspires or motivates you?

Any challenge!

What are you happiest doing when you’re not working?

I love being outdoors – walking, hiking, skiing, water sports, or just relaxing.  Being outside – regardless of the weather - is good for the soul.  I also find huge joy in volunteering for my church, charitable organizations and my local community.
